This year on Valentine's Day we ended up staying home from church because Gabrielle had a bad cough, and I didn't want to be "that mom" that still brought her anyway. So, we hung out in our pajamas and exchanged our gifts that morning.
Gabrielle "reading" her card from us...it was one from Hallmark that Nick and I recorded our own voice-message on before the song, "She's Some Kind of Wonderful" played. I thought she was going to make the card fall apart with how many times she opened and closed it. Let's just say that she's pretty much memorized what we said, as well as the song lyrics too!
Checking out the Dora chocolates that daddy bought her.
Opening her gift from us.
The Dora "Backpack" toy and a book that has a puzzle in the front cover.
Checking out all the "stuff" in Backpack.
Reading my card from daddy...
And, unwrapping some gifts of my own...a new Bible cover, a Cricut cartridge, a new red/black necklace, the Fireproof DVD, some yummy chocolates, and a nut-chopper for the kitchen--I don't think I forgot anything. Did I mention that this weekend Nick also cleaned our shower, vacuumed the house, installed the baby car-seats, finished our taxes (yea for a fantastic $$ return!), and even cleaned out a "junk" area in our office? He really spoiled me this year--I think I have the best hubby in the whole world!!!
