Teething again

So, here's my random question for the day...
Why do babies have bad diaper rash when they are teething? What is connected between that part of their bodies and their gums? Just wondering why, and I am sure there is some medical reason that someone can tell me. Or, perhaps God was just trying to test parents' patience during this time in children's development because Gabrielle is a little extra crabby right now.

I don't know, but it sure does happen that way here too.

I don't know the cause either, but my theory is there is a lot more saliva and snot, which gets in the stomach, which causes acid, which in turn causes diaper rash. Not that I've thought about it or anything. :) I recommend Boudreaux's Butt Paste. It's the best thing we've found for diaper rash!

And I've heard about vomitting with strep too, so I'd send him to the doctor, especially if he has a fever. Feel better soon Nick!
